Melanie Matthews, MS
Melanie Matthews is the President at MultiCare Connected Care and the CEO at Physicians of Southwest Washington (PSW). She brings more than 20 years of operations, financial, human resources and product marketing experience in health care services for specialty populations. Melanie's passion for public policy and engaging legislatures has propelled her as the “voice” of physician health policies. She holds a seat on the Board of Directors for the National Association of ACOS (NAACOS) and is a member of the NAACOS Public Policy Committee. She has a high personal capacity for energy, clear focus and performance excellence and is a highly-desired public speaker because of her nationally recognized visionary leadership. Melanie’s extensive knowledge in post-acute care provides strategic focus in reducing overall cost of care as well as provider and beneficiary engagement.
Prior to PSW, Melanie served for three years as Vice President of Operations for Prestige Care, Inc., where she was responsible for regulatory and financial operations and outcomes for 38 skilled nursing facilities and two Medicare home health agencies in a four-state northwest region. Among her other accomplishments, Melanie serves as Co-Chair for APG – Risk Evolution Taskforce, was selected by the American Health Care Association as a “National Political Ambassador” in 2013, and was named a national “Future Leader” in 2012.
Melanie holds a master of science, social gerontology, degree from Central Missouri State University and a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Pennsylvania State University. She is married with two children and has lived in Olympia since 2008.
Zak Ramadan-Jradi, MD, MBA
Zak Ramadan-Jradi is the Executive Director and Vice President of Accountable Care for MultiCare Connected Care. Dr. Ramadan-Jradi‘s long and diverse health care background includes extensive experience in payor contracting, network management, healthcare analytics, and clinical performance management with Premera BlueCross and Regence BlueShield, where he worked for several years before serving as Director of Operations and Cellular Therapeutics for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. He entered this career shortly after his clinical practicum as an Internist at London Hospital Medical College in London, England and earned his MBA from Seattle University.
After practicing bedside medicine, Dr. Ramadan-Jradi realized he wanted to make a positive change in the way health care is delivered at the policy and business level enabling him to assist more patients exponentially rather than one at a time. This lead to his career in health care and health plan administration that includes experience working in policy and regulation in laboratory services and at an operational level with clinic administration. He currently sits on the governing board for Physicians of Southwest Washington, the Milliman Advisory Board, and has been an active participant in National Association of ACOs since 2015
Steve Schramm, CPA
Steve Schramm, an executive with more than two decades of experience in health care finance and management and is the VP & CFO of MultiCare Connected Care.
Steve joins us from Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and was most recently CEO and CFO of QualChoice Health Plan Services Medicare Advantage plans that operated in seven states. The largest of those plans was in Washington, Soundpath Health. As CEO and CFO, Steve helped Soundpath Health grow to be the third-largest Medicare Advantage plan in the service area through market-leading customer service and strong engagement with key provider partners.
Steve has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is a retired Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Public Accountant.
Steve and his wife, Heather, live in Fircrest and enjoy spending family time with their three daughters ages 12, 15 and 16.
Michael Myint, MD, MBA
Michael Myint currently serves as MultiCare Connected Care’s Physician Executive, Population Health, Quality & Risk Adjustment.
Dr. Myint has worked previously at Swedish Health Services, Virginia Mason, and the University of Washington. He has led organizational efforts around clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, and Population Health. Dr. Myint has a passion for working toward ever improving clinical value for patients and the communities he serves. He also led the creation of an integrated strategy for population health initiatives and partnered in analyzing, contracting and implementing value-based contracts, including bundled payment agreements and ACO models. He is adjunct faculty at the University of Washington and is an expert in quality management, patient safety, and organizational system design.
Dr. Myint leads strategic and program design to help deliver best-in-class quality performance for value-based contracts and care transformation for all of the patients and communities MultiCare serves. His passion is improving clinical value for health and wellness programs across the continuum of care and helping MultiCare Connected Care be the value leader in the communities we serve.
When away from work, Dr. Myint and his family share an interest in all things outdoors, especially biking, running, and camping. Dr. Myint admits to being a foodie, a barbecue aficionado, and downhill skier, among many interests.
Anna Taylor, MS
Anna Taylor is the Director of Operations for MultiCare Connected Care and leads the operational team in the day-to-day functions of the MCC governance committee structure and stewards the business side of the value-based technology platforms and their interoperability functions. She oversees the performance measurement for MCC's organizational key performance indicators, strategic framework, and operational program management.
Anna has been with MultiCare Health System for the 11+ years and has held positions in the Institute for Learning and Development, Information Services & Technology, and Strategic Planning. She holds a B.S. from the UW School of Engineering in Technical Communication and a M.S. in Clinical Informatics and Patient Centered Technology from the UW School of Nursing.
In her most recent role, Taylor was the program manager for MCC. Working with the business side of value-based care technology platforms and directing the program management of the Accountable Care Organization.
Anna is a Senior member of the Board of Examiners for the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. When Anna is away from her desk she enjoys spending time with her family on the slopes in the winter and sea side in the summer.
